Vattanac Golf Resort (West Course)
The West Course is the second 18-hole layout at Vattanac Golf Resort, set in rural countryside southeast of Phnom Penh, and it was reported open in late 2020. Sir Nick Faldo's design team shaped it with narrower, more undulating fairways than the neighbouring East Course, together with several water features, strategically placed bunkers and Paspalum greens. An island green is among its features, and a statue honouring King Jayavarman VII stands on the seventh hole. Scale models of Khmer landmarks such as Angkor Wat, Preah Vihear and Bayon appear across the resort's courses, and a replica of the Terrace of the Elephants is part of the landscaping. It plays from about 4,935 to 7,249 yards over five sets of tees and is managed by Troon, with a resort academy on site. Visitors are required to book in advance. Good to know: Night golf available on the West Course for an extra RM46 per golfer. Single buggy and single caddie per golfer.
