PGA Golf Club An Ying (Yangtze Dunes)

Yangtze Dunes is the links-style course at the former Lanhai International club on Chongming Island, an alluvial island in the Yangtze River estuary. It opened in 2011 as a Nicklaus-designed layout and was rebuilt by the Melbourne firm OCCM, reopening in 2018 after a roughly year-long project. The land is flat and treeless, so the design relies on dunes-style mounding, blowout bunkers, sandy waste areas and firm, fast Bermuda grass. The project created 18 new greens and tees, re-routed some holes to shorten walks, and removed miles of concrete cart paths. It offers four sets of tees ranging from about 5,400 to 7,500 yards, and the 11th hole has a punchbowl green.
