Mae Jo Golf Club & Resort
Mae Jo Golf Club & Resort occupies land at Maejo University north of Chiang Mai, about 20 minutes from the city off the Chiang Mai-Phrao road. The 18-hole par-72 course opened in 2004 to a design by Thai architect Seni Thirawat and measures roughly 6,650 to 6,730 yards depending on source. Narrow zoysia fairways, several water hazards, doglegs and long par 5s make up the test, with large undulating greens, and views toward Doi Suthep and other mountains. Fruit trees and orchids line many fairways, and the 14th hole kiosk and 15th tee are noted viewpoints. A Lanna-style clubhouse houses a restaurant, with a golf lodge for stays and a driving range plus chipping and putting areas.
