Gassan Khuntan Golf & Resort
Gassan Khuntan Golf & Resort lies in Mae Tha district of Lamphun province, roughly 45 minutes south of Chiang Mai, beside Khuntan National Park. The main 18-hole course opened in 2004 and is listed as par 72 at about 7,068 yards, designed by Pravit Reungpo (also spelt Raeng-Po). Play features sharp doglegs, island greens, water carries and steep-faced bunkers, on Bermuda grass fairways. The par-3 5th, about 163 yards to a small bunkered island green, is a highlighted hole, and the closing green is narrow and guarded by water. A nine-hole short course (par 34, about 2,190 yards) added in 2018 brings the club to 27 holes, and facilities include a driving range, practice greens, golf academy, spa, restaurants and a swimming pool.
