Els Club Desaru (Vijay Design)

The Valley Course is the second 18-hole layout at The Els Club Desaru Coast and was designed by Vijay Singh, his first collaboration with Ernie Els Design. It opened in 2017, with the official opening celebrated at the end of March. The course sits on more undulating, wooded ground than the neighbouring Ocean Course, and Singh used the elevation changes to shape strategic, high-impact bunkering, with around 175 to 187 bunkers by published counts. It plays to roughly 7,200 yards from the back tees on par 72, and carts are compulsory. Players share the club's practice areas, the Els Performance Golf Academy and its par-3 academy course. Good to know: Caddie optional. Free driving range use 1 hour before tee-off. Buggies on cart paths only.
