Cameron Highlands Golf Club
This is a highland course in a cool valley setting near Tanah Rata, at an elevation of about 5,000 feet according to one listing, surrounded by forested mountains. The club was originally called the Cameron Highlands Golf Club and is now known as Kelab Golf Sultan Ahmad Shah; it is described as the only public golf course in the Cameron Highlands. The 18-hole layout runs over undulating ground with sand bunkers, tricky greens and heavy rough, and the Sungai Bertam river crosses the fairway. The par-5 15th is singled out for its large drop in elevation and mountain views. Weather is usually cool with frequent passing showers, and practice facilities are limited, with no driving range reported. Good to know: Caddie fee RM70, paid directly to the caddie master. One caddie per golfer. Walking course (no buggy).
