Bukit Jawi Golf Resort

Bukit Jawi Golf Resort is a 36-hole facility on the Penang mainland near Sungai Bakap, roughly 20 km from Penang island and about 45 minutes from the international airport. It opened in 1992 on former oil palm plantation land with rolling hills and large contoured lakes. The Hill Course, the longer of the two par-72 layouts at about 6,365 to 6,385 metres from the back tees, is open, tree-lined parkland with a number of climbs. Water comes into play on the 9th and 18th, and the downhill par-3 12th plays over a lake. The companion Lake Course, around 6,165 metres, is more water-oriented and features an island-green par-3 15th. Facilities include a clubhouse, restaurants, a 48-bay driving range, pool, sauna and fitness centre. Good to know: Shared caddie included. Buggies allowed on fairways (subject to club and weather).
