Blue Canyon Country Club (Canyon Course)
The Canyon Course is the original course at Blue Canyon Country Club, opened in 1991 and designed by Yoshikazu Kato on former tin-mining and rubber-plantation land in northern Phuket. It is a tree-lined, undulating parkland layout with jungle-covered hills, measuring about 7,180 yards from the back tees. The front nine relies on avenues of mature trees more than water, while the back nine brings in water at the island-green par-3 14th and the water-carry par-3 17th. The signature 13th, nicknamed The Tiger Hole, requires a drive over water and a canyon face. The course hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic in 1994, 1998 and 2007, the 1996 Honda Invitational, the 2005 Thailand Open and the 2021 Blue Canyon Phuket Championship.
