Angkor Golf Resort
Angkor Golf Resort is an 18-hole championship course on the western side of Siem Reap, a short drive from the airport and from Angkor Wat. Designed by Sir Nick Faldo, it opened in December 2008 and is laid out as open to tree-lined parkland on flat ground, with seashore paspalum turf throughout. Faldo describes the fairways as generous, the bunkering as bold and the greens as subtly undulating, and the course plays to about 7,279 yards from the back tees. It has been the country's best-known tournament venue, hosting the Asian Tour's Handa Faldo Cambodian Classic in 2012, the Faldo Series Cambodia Championship and a Ladies European Tour qualifying school. Facilities include a driving range with target greens, putting and chipping areas, dining, and a junior development academy. Caddies are compulsory. Good to know: Same rate on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
