Alpine Golf & Sports Club
Alpine Golf & Sports Club lies on the northeastern edge of Bangkok in Pathum Thani, on land that was once flat paddy fields and has been shaped into a championship course by American architect Ron M. Garl. The layout has gentle rolling movement and changes in elevation, quick greens and thick rough, with the par-5 7th (around 555 yards) regarded as its signature hole. The club was used for the Johnnie Walker Classic in 2000 and is also reported to have staged the Thailand Amateur Championship and Thailand Ladies Open. Alpine is primarily a members' club, with visitors usually arranging play through a tour operator. On site are a recently upgraded clubhouse, locker rooms, pro shop, a restaurant serving Thai and international food, a driving range and short-game practice area.
