Designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson, the 27-hole Tropicana Golf & Country Resort is one of the best courses in the country and in many ways was the first club that merged golf, clubbing and upsacle property development with great success.
The golf course consists of three nines, East 1, East 2 and West 3. While it is a fair layout, the championship combination of the East 1 and East 2 nines - playing 6,204 metres from the tips - is no pushover, with sculptured bunkers and grassy hollows punishing misdirection along with water on quite a number of holes. An extensive renovation exercise from 2010 to 2012 saw the green complexes, bunkers and teeboxes totally rebuilt with the putting surfaces now coated with TifEagle.
Tee-times for visitors are only available on weekdays, with green fees priced at RM371. Buggies and caddies are available.
The clubhouse is one of the best in the country, offering 380,000 square feet of superb facilities including excellent Japanese and Chinese restaurants.
