One of the must-play courses in southern Peninsula Malaysia is Tiara Melaka Golf & Country Club, a scenic 27-hole tract crafted by the American design firm of Nelson, Wright & Haworth.
Tiara Melaka offers three nines, the Lake Course, Meadow Course and Woodland Course, each lined by tall, mature trees making astute course management a must for a good score.
The 3,107-metre Lake Course will prove daunting for golfers with water phobia as it finishes with three water-dominated holes, especially the intimidating par-five 9th which is bordered by a lake along its entire right side.
The Meadow Course measures 3,215 metres from the black tees and has a pleasant, parkland feel, while the 3,292-metre Woodland Course has a jungle-like setting which places a premium on accuracy.
Green fees are RM95 on weekdays and RM159 on weekends. Buggies cost RM80 and caddies are available for RM35.
From the Ayer Keroh exit of the North-South Highway, it takes around 10 minutes to get to Tiara Melaka.
