Templer Park Country Club

Templer Park Country Club is one of the most spectacular courses in Malaysia, built among ancient limestone hills which are dominated by the majestic Takun Hill.

Designed by Japanese golfing legend Masashi 'Jumbo' Ozaki with the assistance of architect Kentaro Sato, the scenic course is created in harmony with the natural surroundings. Measuring 7,143 yards from the black tees, the par-72 layout shouts precision as there is an abundance of water hazards and sand traps guarding the route to tricky and often elevated greens. Indeed, Templer Park has hosted the Malaysian Open no less than three times with the latest being in the year 2000.

One of the best holes is the par four 18th, which curves left around a huge lake; long hitters can aim for a sliver of fairway across the water leaving a short pitch to the elevated green, while the safe and long route is to follow the dogleg left fairway.

Green fees are RM200 on weekdays and RM320 on weekends. A 2-seater buggy costs RM60, while a 4-seater is RM120. Caddies are available.
