Saujana Golf & Country Club is one of the true icons of Malaysian golf, setting numerous milestones for the country since the club commenced operations in 1986 as Malaysia's first proprietary golf club. The club has two equally enticing courses, the Palm Course and the Bunga Raya Course.
Carved out of an oil palm plantation on rugged terrain by American architect Ronald Fream, the Palm Course boasts oil palm-lined fairways, steep ravines and super-fast and tricky greens. Dubbed 'The Cobra', the par 72, 6,992-yard course has hosted the Malaysian Open no less than eight times, most recently in 2009. The course is undergoing a major redesign/ renovation exercise and is scheduled to re-open in the second half of 2015
Measuring 7,034 yards from the black tees, the Bunga Raya is a parkland style layout which is just as challenging having gone through numerous changes over the years. An extensive redesign by Australian architect Ted Parslow in 2012 has made this a championship course in its own right.
Green fees start from RM350, with additional charges for buggies and caddies. Adjoining the club is The Saujana Hotel, offering five-star accommodation and excellent facilities.
