One of the most popular courses in Johor is the nine-hole Permas Jaya Golf Club, designed by Desoro Sdn Bhd and opened for play in 1994.
The par 36, 3,125-metre course is conveniently located in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya just 10 minutes from the Johor Bahru city centre. While it is a public course, the Permas Jaya layout is no pushover as some of the Cowgrass fairways are quite narrow with mature trees lining the sides. The greens are turfed with Tifdwarf and roll quite well.
Green fees range from RM25 on weekdays (nine holes with trolley) up to RM90 on weekends (18 holes with buggy). Contact the club for details.
