The par 68, 18-hole course of the Penang Turf Club Golf Section is unique in that part of it is built on the racetrack.
The hills and valleys of Bukit Gantong in the backdrop provide a refreshing peripheral element to this classically-designed course. This is one of those courses that one should attempt to play as very few of this nature exist in this day and age. The simplicity of its design adds to the feel of nostalgia as you roam among the very same fairways the late Tunku Abdul Rahman had been known to play from time to time.
After your round, indulge in some tea at the terrace and that will give you a taste of how the British elites who once lived among us spent their days.
Green fees are RM95 on weekdays and RM180 on weekends. This is a walking course and caddies are available for RM45.
