Penang Golf Resort is a 36-hole course nestled within a township developed by Bertam Properties in Seberang Perai Utara, Penang.
Designed by Graham Marsh on a sprawling, flat site that used to be an oil palm plantation, both the East and West Courses challenge players with sculptured fairway mounding and strategically-placed lakes and bunkers. The East Course measures 6,324 metres from the black tees and is generally considered to be the tougher of the two, while the West Course is 6,247 metres in length from the tips.
The full-facility clubhouse includes a well-stocked proshop as well as two restaurants serving a wide range of food from local Penang and traditional Chinese to Western fare.
Green fees are RM120 on weekdays and RM160 on weekends. Buggy fee is RM90.
The resort is just 20 minutes' drive from Penang Island and is a popular golfing venue on weekends.
