Forming the centrepiece of one of Ipoh's most popular residential suburbs, Meru Valley Resort has bragging rights as the only 27-hole course in the state of Perak.
Built in the foothills of the Kledang Saiong mountain range, the course has a pleasant countryside feel due to the gently rolling terrain, winding creeks, lakes and lush trees.
The layout plays out in three nine-hole loops, the 3,029-metre Valley Nine, 3,232-metre Waterfall Nine and 3,040-metre River Nine. One of the most memorable holes is the par-three fourth of the Valley Nine, which plays over water to, not one, but two greens separated by a stream.
Green fees are RM127 on weekdays and RM200 on weekends. Buggies and caddies are available
The stylish clubhouse is one of the best in the country, offering a myriad of clubbing, recreational and sports facilities. Adventure lovers can check out the jungle trekking trails that lead to pristine waterfalls in the Kledang Saiong forest reserve.
