Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) is Malaysia's most prominent and prestigious golf club, boasting two award-winning courses in the West Course and East Course.
The par 72, 6,397-metre West Course has hosted numerous high-profile tournaments including the Maybank
Malaysian Open (2006, 2010-2014) and CIMB Classic (2013).
This parkland-style layout challenges golfers with its length, water hazards and sculptured bunkering.
Venue for the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia since its inception in 2010, the superbly-landscaped par 71 East
Course measures only slightly over 6,000 metres but is still a tough test of golf. The layout demands straight-hitting and strategic play to safely negotiate sand, water and wetlands.
Originally designed by the American firm of Nelson
& Haworth, both courses underwent a major redesign by
Australian architect Ted Parslow from 2007 to 2010 which propelled both to among the best in Asia. Located in Bukit
Kiara close to KL city and its suburbs, KLGCC also has one of the best clubhouses in the region and a full-fledged golf academy.
Green fees start from RM400, with additional charges for
buggies and caddies.
