If you're looking for golf with a difference, the nine-hole course of Kelab Rekreasi Angkatan Tentera (Armed Forces Recreation Club) is definitely your cup of tea.
Located in the confines of the Air Force Base in
Sungai Besi just a few minutes' drive from Kuala Lumpur city, the par 32, 2883-metre layout will test your skills to the fullest with its hilly terrain and small, tricky greens.
Since its inception in 1962 when the original course was built by British army officers, the club has expanded and now has a small but excellent clubhouse that includes a swimming pool, dining lounge, bar, proshop, gym and driving range.
Green fees are RM35 on weekdays and RM70 on weekends per 18. There are no buggies or caddies, so bring a trolley.
