In the upmarket suburb of Bukit Kiara lies one of Malaysia's most challenging courses, the 27-hole Government Services
Golf Club or Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KGPA).
Crafted by renowned American architect Ronald Fream in
1989, KGPA consists of three distinct nine-hole loops, the Hill, Lake and Forest. The championship combination of the Hill and Lake measures 5,991 metres from the tips and challenge golfers with dramatic elevation changes, tree-lined Cowgrass
fairways and slopey greens.
The Forest Nine measures 2,671m and is generally
considered the easiest of the three but is still no pushover as
wayward hitting will be punished.
The striking Roman-style clubhouse features comfortable amenities but, being a government club, is alcohol-free. The club actually borders Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club and is thus ideally located. Walk-in golfers are welcome at
extremely reasonable rates.
Contact the club for current rates. Buggies and caddies
are available.
