Located on Carey Island about 45 minutes' drive from Kuala
Lumpur, Amverton Cove Golf & Island Resort boasts an 18-hole course, full-facility clubhouse and 70-room hotel on a
250-acre site that used to be plantations and marshland.
Crafted by Jason Winter of E&G Parslow, the par 72 course measures just 5,875 metres but challenges golfers with its excellent use of marshy wetlands, scenic lakes, flashed-up bunkering and trees in its strategic design.
Strategic placement of the tee shot is vital with water or marshland influencing play to some extent or another. As buggies are allowed on the fairways thanks to an impressive eight inches of sand capping, a round at Amverton is an extremely pleasant experience
The par four 18th presents golfers two options from the tees - a 235-metre water carry to the small peninsula fairway on the right, leaving a short approach, or away from the water to the main fairway on the left.
Green fees (including buggy) are RM138 on weekday mornings, RM168 on weekday afternoons and RM268 on weekends. 'Play & Stay' packages are available.
