Established in the early 1960s by the British Army, Tanjung Emas Golf Club is located at the mouth of the Muar River as it opens up to the Straits of Melaka
The par 35, 2,763-metre course is split into two by a road, Jalan Sultanah, with Holes 2, 3, 4 and 5 located on the other side near the river. Ponds come into play on a few holes but the biggest challenge here is the wind, especially at the par four third hole which runs parallel to the river.
Green fees are RM40 on both weekdays and weekends, regardless of how many holes you play. You can rent a Turfmate for RM16 per nine or walk with a trolley (RM5 per nine).
The colonial-style clubhouse has a nice ambience and offers decent Facilities including a bar and grill.
