Horizon Hills is probably the hottest golf course in Johor, earning rave reviews and numerous awards for its Ross Watson-desiqned course since it opened tor play in 2008.
Venue for the Iskandar Johor Open in 2010, 2011 and 2012 the par 72, 6,271-metre course is a masterpiece of risk-reward golf which is typical of Watson's creations. The course winds its way through upmarket housing and challenges golfers with undulating fairways, gleaming flashed-up bunkers and huge, deceptive greens. Water is a strong feature in the form of lakes and rocky streams, most notably at the par three 17th which plays 130 metres to a peninsula green.
The 18th is one of the most unique finishing holes in golf and teatures an island tairway on the right to tempt long hitters off the tee, as this is the only route to reach the green in two.
